What I can do for you
-
Your app, from idea to Google Play
The whole way: what it should do and what it should leave out, the interface and its identity, the Kotlin and Jetpack Compose code, billing, the privacy policy and the store listing. It’s the road I take with each app of mine, six of them now on Google Play.
-
An app that works but doesn’t delight
A fresh look at the product as a whole: flows, type, colour, motion, copy, and the small decisions that make people trust an app. I can design the change and build it, so nothing is lost in the handover.
-
ClojureScript and the frontend
Nearly a decade of frontend: React and TypeScript, and ClojureScript with re-frame, Reagent and UIx. I built data-visualisation tools in ClojureScript at Pitch, have merged work in Logseq and Penpot, and have consulted on Clojure and ClojureScript since 2023.
-
A codebase that’s hard to change
Tests around what matters, then small, careful steps until the system is easy to change again. I learned it as a software craftsman at Codurance and practised it on legacy systems at Lifull Connect.
How I work
I work with AI coding agents every day. They make me fast. Tests, small steps and review keep the work honest, and the decisions about what the product should be stay with people: you and me.
- Tests before code
- “Done” is defined before anything is written, by me or by a model, and stays true afterwards.
- Small, readable steps
- Every change small enough to read, understand and undo. Nothing ships that I can’t explain.
- The platform, not a wrapper
- Native Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, the system’s own components and permissions, and the fewest dependencies that will do.
- Plain words
- What I would leave out, what I don’t know yet, and what a feature will really take.
Where to look first
- Seven apps of my ownSix on Google Play and one on the way, each designed and built alone, with its own identity, privacy policy and terms.
- Ten years in softwareCodurance, Pitch, Artificial Solutions, Lifull Connect, Accurat — and philosophy before all of it.
- Open sourceMerged contributions to Logseq and Penpot, and Soonest’s source under the GPL.
Questions
Do you build for iOS?
Android is where my apps are today, in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Swift and iOS are next: my first iOS apps are on the way.
Can you join an existing team or codebase?
Yes. Most of my career has been spent inside existing products and teams: at Lifull Connect, Artificial Solutions and Pitch, and on client projects as a consultant at Codurance.
How do you use AI on client work?
As a fast collaborator that works under tests and review, the same way I use it on my own apps. If your project has rules about AI tools, tell me at the start and I’ll work within them.
Where are you based, and are you available?
In Spain, on Central European Time. I work remotely with clients anywhere, and I’m open to new contracts now.
Which languages do you work in?
English, Italian, Spanish and Catalan.
What do you need from me to start?
A few lines about the product, where it stands and what you want from it. I’ll reply with questions, and with how I’d approach it.
